Our customized, small-group trips will take you into hidden Italy to experience its architecture, art, and food while enjoying some of the best meals of a lifetime.

Travel to Southern Italy to a lovingly maintained 19th-century villa owned by Baronessa Cecilia Bellelli, who has transformed her home into a mecca for food-lovers and culture buffs. This is a seven day trip that marries a love of food with a passion for photography- and all things Italian.

By the end of the week, photographers and artists will have time to compose an edited collection of work that captures the spirit of the region if desire, that can be digitally published into a beautiful hard-covered coffee table book. You will want some of these recipes as well!  Evenings are spent sharing work, discussing composition, style and lighting and pictorial themes; or, simply recounting the day’s adventures. Non-photographing guests will participate in all day trips to vineyards, fig farms, fishing villages, oil presses and mozzarella factories, as well as partake in cooking lessons.

John, a noted photographer and Italian citizen has taught a variety of workshops and has been photographing the architecture, landscape and art of Italy for more than 20 years. His work has been featured in many books and magazines, exhibits, and are in private collections. ( Wendy Carlson is both an accomplished writer and photographer who contributes articles on food, lifestyle and reviews to numerous publications, including The New York Times. (
